SWARU School of Art is a vibrant space to learn, practice, and experience the timeless beauty of Bharatanatyam — rooted in tradition yet alive with a contemporary spirit. Inspired by the Kalakshetra style, we balance discipline and creativity, nurturing students in a supportive but rigorous environment to grow as confident dancers.
Our structured curriculum builds strong foundations while preparing students for stage performances, grade-level exams, and dance competitions. Beyond technique, we help dancers understand the cultural and spiritual depth that makes Bharatanatyam truly special.
For adults, we offer specially curated semi-classical classes — an opportunity to reconnect with graceful movements, rhythm, and expression, while embracing dance as part of a holistic wellness journey.
About Me:
Driven by a deep passion for dance and the arts, I chose dance as the next phase of my life journey after 20 years of professional expertise in HR Business Partnering. I am fortunate to have been trained in Bharatanatyam since the age of 6 under various gurus, and later pursued intensive training under eminent gurus such as Padma Shri Shobana Chandrakumar Pillai and Smt. Dakshayani Ramachandran. I am also Illamani certified under Bridge Academy, currently pursuing an MA in Bharatanatyam from TN Dr. J Jayalalithaa Music & Arts University, and mastering complex choreographies under Kalakshetra alumni.
